Safety Lead

We are looking for an experienced Safety Lead that is a self-starter that can motivate and supervise a staff of five safety professionals to work on a project located on a military installation in Washington, DC. Candidate will provide technical safety expertise and assistance to contractors, civilian employees, and the military. Successful candidates should have detailed knowledge of OSHA Regulations; ANSI and NFPA standards and codes; best safety practices; and a willingness to take ownership and manage the safety program.

In completion of their duties, candidates may be required to perform detailed audits and inspections, develop safety-related training materials, attend project meetings, write policies and procedures, and provide training as needed. This position requires skills in both written and verbal communications and strong knowledge of safety and health.

Required Qualifications:

  • College degree required, preferably in a safety related field or extensive experience and training in safety
  • Minimum of 7 years of applicable safety and health experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Experience managing and supervising personnel
  • Ability to develop and manage new programs
  • Knowledge of OSHA Reporting Requirements and OSHA 300 Log
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills

Senior Industrial Hygienist

TEC is continuing to expand its Industrial Hygiene and Safety service offerings and is seeking an independent leader with an outstanding business and technical presence to make significant contributions to the organization.

This position will be multi-faceted: the duties will include managing staff and projects; preparing technical documents, reports, marketing materials, presentations, bids, and proposals; directing technical project work; and marketing and business development.

Initially, this position may supervise 1-2 employees. Ultimately this position may supervise multiple employees across multiple disciplines.

The expectation is that the ideal candidate will have an immediate substantial impact to the company's bottom line.

Business Development functions:

  • Directly interacts with and reports to Environmental Program Manager
  • Participates in developing new business through identifying new opportunities, clients, and markets.
  • Provides leadership, direction and coordination of local project/client management
  • Contracting knowledge and negotiations
  • Develops bids, and proposals.

Project Management functions:

  • Recruits, trains, supervises and evaluates department staff.
  • Manages projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology, Industrial Hygiene, Health Physics or other safety related field; Master's degree in Business or Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene Consulting industry
  • Minimum of 5 years conducting Business Development in the Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene industry.
  • Proven leadership ability to leverage strength of TEC qualifications to new markets
  • Professional written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills including the ability and desire to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical clients
  • Interacts with other managers providing consultative support to planning initiatives

Environmental Manager, Mountain Region

TEC is expanding into the Denver/Colorado Springs metropolitan area and is seeking an independent, forward-thinking environmental Leader with an outstanding business and technical presence to assist TEC Senior Management in growing, managing, and developing the Denver-Colorado Springs market and drive significant contribution to TEC's bottom line.

Requirements

  • This newly created position demands a skilled Leader with a demonstrated track record of success in Business Development and Project Management activities.

Business Development

  • Collaborates with and reports to Division Manager
  • Identifies and develops new business opportunities, including new clients and markets

Petroleum Service Tech (Glen Burnie)

TEC is a growing company that offers Aflac access, health care, vacation, holidays, and training opportunities. We are an environmental, construction, and petroleum service company looking for a service technician, as we continue to upgrade our Petroleum Service Division. We need somebody highly qualified to work on Gilbarco systems.

Familiarity with these are a plus: : Verifone-Ruby/Topaz POS, Dresser Wayne, Veeder Root, Incon, Omntec, Gasboy, Pneumercator, Simplex day tank systems, Red Jacket STP's, and FE Petro STP's.

PETROLEUM CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

Job Description: Job requires occasional site visits, attendance of pre-construction (and other) meetings, business prospecting via networking and perusal of bid boards, doing drawing take-offs, creation of bids/proposals/supporting analyses and documentation, filing of same, familiarity with local regulations, communication with vendors, making inquiries of customers and potential customers, dispensing intra-company technical advice, flexibility in work schedule to accommodate varying levels of opportunity.

Familiarity with construction software like Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc is a plus. Extensive petroleum construction estimating experience sought, but will consider solid mechanical or plumbing construction estimation experience. Must be able to prioritize so as to focus on areas likely to bring greater success. Should be able to communicate and time manage effectively.

This is an important position in our company and the individual we hire must be resourceful, and technically expert. Additionally, this individual will enthusiastically interact with vendors, databases, and potential customers, digging out leads, contacts and clarifying information.
